Book Review Oprah Winfrey

When I stayed in Minnesota with my host family, I often watched TV show of Oprah Winfrey with her. She is a very famous woman in the USA. Her shows were very interesting for me.
Oprah Winfrey was born in 1954 in Mississippi, but her father and mother didn’t get married. Her mother went to Wisconsin to work, so she grew up with her grand parents. Her grand mother was a very strict woman, and she always told Oprah to read books. Because of her grand mother, Oprah could read and write when she was only three years old.
When she was a child, she had very difficult times. First she lived with her grand parents, and then she moved to Wisconsin to live with her mother, but her mother couldn’t take care of her, so her father and his new wife raised her. Her father’s new wife was stricter than her grand mother, and she had to read five books every two weeks. She was a very intelligent student, and her teachers liked her, but her classmates didn’t. She entered college, but she quit. She started working at TV station. First she started working at local TV station in Nashville, and she was the first African-American woman who read news on TV, but people in Nashville liked her. After that, she moved to Baltimore. She worked very hard, and she moved to Chicago in 1984. Oprah’s talking show became very famous, and many famous people came to her show and talked about many things.
Now, she is a one of the most successful woman in the world. She earns much money, and she is very rich. She bought many things, but she also gave her money to many people. She makes many people talkative, many people were open when they were in her show.
She also became a actress, and her acting was very good. There were many books and TVs when I was in Minnesota. My host family also likes her.
