Book Review5 Pele

I love soccer, so this blog's name is "Kei's soccer blog". I've been interested in soccer for 12 years. I've watched many games in the studium and on TV. Do you know Pele? He is the most famous and the best soccer player in the world. FIFA World Cup 2006 was held in German, Pele was in the opening celemony. I watched this celemony on TV. There were many famous soccer players who played in the past. I was very excited to watch this.
Pele's real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, and his family called him Dico. His father was also a soccer player, but his father didn't play as well as Pele did. So his family always had a money trouble. Because of this, his mother wanted him to be a doctor. He also didn't want to be a soccer player. He wanted to work at the airport, but he gave up this dream, because one day an airplane came down near the school. He and his friends went to the doctor's office and looked in one of the windows. The man from the airplane was dead. After this, he never talked about a job with airplanes again.
He became a professional player when he was fifteen years old in Santos, which is the very famous club in Brazil. He wasn't in the first team, but one day, a first team player had an injury. So he could get the chance to play in the first team. He played well and stayed in the first team. In　June, 1957, his team played in the Maracana Championship, and he scored eight goals. This made him very famous.
He could be the member of the Brazilian World Cup team. He was only seventeen, but he played very well in the world cup. Brazilian team won the World Cup Champion. He played in the World Cup four times, and won the champion three times. This is very fantastic.
On October 1, 1977, he said goodbye to his soccer life. After quit playing the soccer,he worked for UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund). Then, in 1995, he started to work for the Brazilian government.
He played in 1363 games and scored 1264 goals. He is the most fantastic player that the world ever had. The world's soccer fans said to Pele, "Thank you,Pele: Soccer Champion of the World."
